Lure Coursing
What is Lure Coursing?
Lure Coursing tries to stimulate the dog’s instinct to chase. The sport was originally designed for Sighthounds, however many other breeds of dogs do love the chase.
The lure (plastic bags) are tied to a 2mm rope that is pulled around low profile pulleys (to ensure your dog/s safety) by an special designed loop drag lure run by a battery and remote control.
The course can be set up differently each session, from a straight line for puppy runs to a more complicated course for the more experienced dogs.
Generally dogs run one at a time. However if you own two dogs of the same breed and size they could run together.
It’s a great way to exercise your dog and see your dog enjoying the chase. Instructors Marianne Abrey. When:- 1st Wednesday of the month Where:- Main arena, Gympie Showgrounds
